Social Media & Content Specialist (Remotely-Malaysia only)

We are currently looking for a motivated Social Media & Content Specialist, working remotely from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The successful candidate will show strong independent work abilities, excel at writing in English, have some agency experience, and be able to hit the ground running.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in line with the rest of the Content & Social Team to develop and execute content marketing strategies to achieve internal and client project objectives for content initiatives such as blog article writing, infographic development, and social media content. 
  • Develop and write engaging and relevant content for various platforms (social, web) that will engage and resonate with the audiences, drive engagement and build communities 
  • Develop visual briefs and provide feedback for Design Team on content development
  • Identify, track and analyze relevant social and content metrics and monthly reporting
  • Understand basics of SEO and how it integrates with content and social copy
  • Drive continuous improvements
  • Stay up to date on what is trending and relevant
  • Be able, on occasion, to liaise directly with clients on project progress and status. 
  • Be able to take feedback and criticism onboard
  • Be hungry to expand their own knowledge of writing and content marketing

The successful candidate will:

  • Have Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Media, Communications, or any related discipline
  • Have > 2 years of working experience in the related field
  • Have (Digital) Agency or Digital Project Management experience
  • Have Excellent skills in Content Writing and Social Media Marketing including the writing and conceptualisation of posts for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram for business purposes.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Google, website and social media data, platforms and analytics
  • Be excellent in verbal and written communication skills in English 
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Have some experience with social media management tools and analytics
  • Be able to manage multiple and diverse client projects
  • Be ability to adapt to change and accept feedback
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be resourceful, innovative and solve problems
  • Be a team player
  • Be able to juggle multiple projects and meet unpredictable deadlines consistently
